INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COOPERATION VICERECTORATE

The University of Lleida is conscious of the growing importance of the international scope of higher educational institutions and networking. In recognition of this, it unites its former international tradition, like that of Studium Generale, with a firm commitment to the promotion of European integration, likewise, with the total participation in the internationalisation of knowledge and spread of culture.

With the aim of giving students the guarantee of the most comprehensive learning experience possible and adapting fully to the European and international context, the University of Lleida endorses an international dimension. It does this in two ways, directly, through student mobility, and indirectly, through the internationalisation of the curriculum, the mobility of teaching staff, bilateral agreements with other universities, networking, active participation of foreign students in university life, the promotion and dissemination of cultures from other countries in the university community and the reinforcement of the international dimension already in existence in research programs.

The University of Lleida participates in diverse international initiatives, like Socrates, Erasmus Mundus, TEMPUS, ASEFOREP or ALFA, amongst others. It is a member of the Compostela Group of Universities and the Interuniversity Consortium for Agriculture and Related Sciences in Europe (ICA).

The Vice Chancellor of International Relations and Cooperation coordinates applications for mobility programs in which the University of Lleida participates:

• Socrates/Erasmus program from the European Commission, in which, apart from staff and student mobility, there is also joint participation in diverse initiatives with other European universities.
• UdL mobility program, which facilitates mobility with universities from other continents.
• Interuniversity Cooperation Program from the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation.
• SICUE program of mobility of students between Spanish universities.
• Dual degrees in some disciplines.
