Language Self-Learning Centre
At the Linguistic Service students can also use the Language Self-Learning Centre (CAL), which is equipped with various types of material and resources to learn Catalan on a flexible timetable.
Timetable
From 15th September to 30th June, Monday to Friday, from 9 to 14 h, and from 16 to 20 h. From 1st September to 15th September and July, from 9 to 14 h.
WARNING: from 20th May to 19th June, CAL will open from 9 to 14 h, and from 16 to 19 h.
Learning modalities
Self-learning is a suitable learning schedule for students who are already following a course in Catalan and use CAL as a complement to their learning process. It is also adequate for students who would like to learn Catalan before enrolling in a course, to those who have already taken an exam and failed, or to those with special needs and / or interests.
- Guided self-learning courses
20 hours of face-to-face sessions + 40 hours of self-learning

- Library: textbooks classified according to different learning levels, grammar books, dictionaries, adapted readings...
- Self-corrective activity sheets.
- Computing material: Catalan learning programmes, multimedia courses and resources to learn Catalan on the Internet.

- Display shelf with newspapers and magazines.
- Text correction service.
- Assessment.
- Conversation groups.
