Educational Aims
The training objective, regarding to professional orientation, is that pupils at the end of the studies acquire a specialization of high level and some determined competences, that are the following: comprehension of the basic principles of genetics, molecular biology and statistics; knowledge of diverse procedures of selection, improvement and development of the criteria that allow to evaluate the advantages of each of them; capacity to integrate the traditional techniques and the most advanced methods to improve the efficacy of the process of selection in the development of new varieties; and skills in the programmes of design of improvement; the training objective, regarding to research part, is the critic application of knowledge, capacities and competences acquired at the first part, at the treatment of real problems related to the vegetable improvement, through the realization of an original research work.

Study regime The teaching programme of the master course has been organised in 5 modules with a total duration of 60 ECTS credits in order to be coursed in one academic year at full time dedication or in modules at part time dedication.
