UdL and Bayer CropScience publish the first guide in Spanish to identify weeds as soon as they germinate
|This book is the result of more than 15 years of study and includes some 300 species of weeds, accompanied by more than 400 drawings and 1,300 colour pictures|
Weeds as Plantlets: Identification Guide was publicly presented on the 15th April in the Videoconference Room at the Centre for Cultures and Transnational Cooperation (Cappont campus). The event took place at 7.30 p.m. and the authors were accompanied the UdL Vice-Rector for Cultural Activities and University Planning Jaume Barrull, Carlos Zaragoza (Agricultural Research and Development Centre in the Aragón Provincial Council) and Enrique Díaz (BayerCropScience).
The authors belong to the UdL Weed Research Group, the only one existing in this field in Catalonia. They aim at circulating this guide among academic and scientific circles from Latin American countries during the International Conference on Weeds to be held in Lisbon next autumn.
