On 18 September, the UdL’s Polytechnic School (EPS) will be awarded one of the Jaume Vicens Vives Prizes that the Government of Catalonia gives to promote excellence in university teaching. It is one of the five group prizes, which are each awarded 20,000 euros. The money will go to projects for innovating or improving teaching practices.

The Catalan Government recognised the teaching staff at the EPS for its project El Portafoli, which is a tool for supervising final theses and improving student’s competencies.

The award ceremony will take place on 18 September at the headquarters of the Open University of Catalonia, in Barcelona, during the official opening of the academic year of the Catalan university system, presided over by the president of the Government of Catalonia, José Montilla.
